Athletes and parents,
We are obviously still in a holding pattern and waiting it out until we get word from the school board and the FHSAA as to what the future holds with school and sports. Meanwhile the athletic director has asked me to let you know registration forms will be sent out next week for class sign up. Next year they are offering class(es) for athletes who want an elective to be able to train, especially for females since it has been primarily for boys/football in the past. They must have between 20-30 students signing up to make this class.
I also wanted to let you know that we will eventually have some sort of banquet/cookout/awards day for the track team when we know more.
Meanwhile, the coaches hope that everyone is staying healthy both physically and mentally in this tough time. We are all disappointed that the season was interrupted this way, especially for our seniors. We however, are grateful that we were able to end on a high note by winning both of the Alachua County Track Championships (see Buchholzxctf.com for results and pictures).
