Buchholz track awards

Runners and parents,

Because it is unlikely that we will be able to meet as a group this summer, the coaches have decided to go ahead and announce the winners and give out the Buchholz Track awards now. Attached is the list of athletes that the coaches are proud to announce. We chose four categories for each of the three areas of events: Most Valuable, Most improved, Captains award and Coaches awards for Distance, Sprints, and Field. (24 total). We also wanted to recognize the 14 seniors that unfortunately did not get to finish off their careers at Buchholz. As far as letter awards, we will deal with those later in the summer or when school resumes.

We will be at the Buchholz parking lot on Wednesday, May 20th, from 5:00pm to 6:00 to hand out the awards. Please come by the bus drop off and we will hand you the award.

The coaches are proud of every athlete irrespective of awards and again congratulate both boys and girls for being Alachua County Champions!

FHSAA cancels remainder of 2020 season.

Athletes and parents,

As was expected the season has been canceled by the FHSAA and the coaches don’t plan on attending any post season meets as a team. Everyone is welcome to compete in any post season meets as an individual if they wish, such as AAU later in the summer.

The coaches are working on awards and plan to give them out when it is allowable later on. We will keep you informed. We will also let you know about the summer distance running program and the Brevard Distance Camp.
